The iLX-F115T6 Alpine Halo11 for the Volkswagen T5 (7H/E/J) model year 09/2009 – 06/2015 and T6 (7H/E/J) model year 07/2016 – 09/2019 and more is a cutting-edge Head Unit, featuring a gigantic 11-inch high-resolution WXGA touch-screen. The iLX-F115T6 comes with all required installation parts (such as a plug-and-play wiring harness, CAN interface, frame, etc.) for the Volkswagen T6. The 2nd generation Alpine Halo11 features a XXL 11-inch high-res display, DAB+ digtial radio, Wireless Apple CarPlay, two USB ports, further improved sound quality and tuning options and many more innovations and improvements and is now available as a complete set for the Volkswagen T6. The iLX-F115T6 includes all necessary installation parts and interfaces to fully integrate in the vehicle’s system.
11-inch WXGA HD Display
The super-large, 11-inch WXGA touch-screen display features a resolution of 1280 x 720p and includes over 2.7 million pixel elements - making icons, menus and visual content extremely crisp and vibrant in your dash. The screen is attached to an adjustable mount connected to the vehicle’s radio dock and leaves a free 1DIN pocket below for storing smaller items such as cigarettes, etc.
Wireless Apple CarPlay
The iLX-F115T6 “Works with Apple CarPlay” wirelessly and lets iPhone users make and receive calls, access and write text messages, play music, and get direction in a way that allows them to stay focused on the road. Apple CarPlay is accessed through the capacitive touchscreen or the mic button to activate Siri voice control. Due to the WiFi connection, you can keep your iPhone in your pocket and do not need to plug it in all the time (except for charging).
Drive-Assist Cameras
A rear view camera is a great way to make reversing safer. The camera image automatically comes on when you shift into reverse and distance guides that can be adjusted to match your car size will appear on the screen to help you safely park your car. Alpine offers a wide variety of front and rear facing cameras, including multi-view cameras with selectable viewing angles. You can even view the camera screen and parking sensor screen simultaneously, if your car supports it.
Wide Entertainment & Online Navigation Options
The all new DAB+/ radio tuner allows DAB – FM switching and lets you enjoy seamless radio reception without interruptions. Next the increased USB video playback formats (MP4, MOV, FLV, MKV), the Alpine Halo11 features many additional entertainment options: the built-in Bluetooth module allows audio streaming from your phone and the HDMI input enables the connection of an external video playback device. You can of course use Android Auto with any compatible smartphone running Android (wired connection).
World’s First Head Unit With Built-in Class-D Amplifier
The iLX-F115T6 is the world’s first aftermarket Head Unit featuring a built-in 4x 50 Watts Class-D amplifier – allowing excellent, high-end sound reproduction with highly reduced noise or phase shift. The key benefit of Class-D amplification technology is its high efficiency of about 90%, compared to 50 - 70% of Class AB amplifiers. New high-speed fans with internal heat sinks keep your Alpine Halo11 cool - and the music playing.
Enjoy Excellent Sound Quality
Featuring a 56-band Parametric EQ in the advanced mode, a 2-way digital X-over, 6-channel digital time correction and several Bass Engine SQ and MediaXpander sound tuning options, you have excellent tools at your disposal to tune your Alpine Halo11 and the attached amp / speaker system to perfection. But we didn’t stop there: The Alpine Halo11 is Hi-Res Audio certified and can decode and playback Hi-Res Audio files up to 96kHz / 1.536 kbps from USB sources in uncompressed supported formats such as FLAC, WAV and APE.
Freely Adjustable Display Angle
You can adjust the iLX-F115T6’s display angle from +45 degrees to -20 degrees to match a wide range of dashboard angle. You can freely adjust the display angle at any time, to achieve best visibility and to avoid sunlight glare.
Adjustable Display Height and Distance
The display height can be adjusted +/- 3cm from the center position. This allows fully standing or hanging display configurations as well as everything in between. You can also adjust the distance of the display to your dash in a 20mm range. After the display height and distance to the dash are selected, everything gets locked into place to be very solid.
Installation Kit for Volkswagen T6 included
The iLX-F115T6 includes a custom-fit 1DIN frame, wiring harness with CAN interface and an antenna adapter. The CAN interface allows usage of the steering wheel remote control buttons with Halo11.
Retains visual representation of Air Condition Display and Parking Sensors
The headunit gives you visual feedback for the selected temperature of driver and co-driver, AC status, seat heating level, selected air vents and more. This screen will automatically appear for a few seconds when any of the named settings is changed to give the driver feedback. If your car is equipped with original parking sensors, you can continue to use this convenient feature when upgrading to Alpine. The parking sensor system is connected to your Alpine screen, showing a convenient distance display.
Supports basic functions of original Steering Wheel Control Buttons
The Alpine system is connected to your steering wheel control buttons. This means you do not lose this convenient feature when upgrading to Alpine and you will have control over volume, phone (hook on/off), audio track forward/backward and many other commands. You can even activate Siri voice control if you have an iPhone connected to the system – right from your steering wheel.
Retains Driver Information Display
The small display in the instrument cluster is also connected to the Alpine system and can display radio station names, song titles and artist information, caller names and much more.
Bluetooth Hi-Res Audio Streaming
Wireless Bluetooth connection to your smartphone or Bluetooth-enabled digital audio player is also possible, thanks to the built-in high-end LDAC standards. With LDAC, you can stream your audio content, including high-resolution (Hi-Res) audio, at a maximum bit rate of 990 kbps via Bluetooth. This makes this Alpine Head Unit ideal for hi-res audio and streaming services with high sound quality. The transmission bit rate is constantly adjusted with this technology to ensure a stable connection even in harsh environments, depending on the network conditions.
